Two life time personal best rides by our riders this week in the City R.C. Hull 10 miles event. 21.40 for John Martin and 22.48 for Peter Stirk.
This reminds me that the South Elmsall SCC records for riders over 60 years old are held by Ken Scott with 22.12 for ten miles and 59.10 for 25 miles he was aged 63 at the time.
I have recieved another report of careless riding on the weekday chain gangs. We know that cyclists from other clubs take part, but South Elmsall riders were seen to take risks near Brierley this week. Please respect other road users and uphold the good name of South Elmsall Cycling Club.
John Martin did a new lifetime personal best ride in the Burton & District 25 mile time trial at the weekend with a time of 56.35.
Our club clothing orders are now complete, members who wish to see the accounts may contact. me. The contact link will open an email.

SECC's New Kit
After nearly 12 months of work by many Club members, the new kit has finally arrived. It was introduced to the world by six hardy riders who braved steep inclines and icy roads to Langsett to make a statement to the cycling fraternity. The New club colours have been designed in association with our main sponsor 'Berrymans Glass Recycling' of South Kirkby. We have have also had considerable financial help from Dempsey Dyers and Unite Union (Please visit our sponsors page). Without their help this would not have been possible.
Special thanks to Stuart Burrows for all his hard work on the 'New Kit Project'.
